METER-RITE switches are a fast, dependable, safe way to transfer loads between commercial power and auxiliary power sources.  Extensive laboratory and field testing have proven the reliable, long-life design or our switches.  Enclosures are lightweight, corrosion-resistant aluminum which retain good looks for years.  Operating handles also feature corrosion-resistant construction which prevents any jamming of the switch from rust.  All double throw switches feature the exclusive spring tension design providing easy operation and snap action of contacts, so loads may be switched with minimum interruption.

The quick-make, quick-break design minimizes contact arcing and prolongs contact life.  The snap action and floating contacts provide a positive and complete self-cleaning contact, preventing excessive contact heating.  Rugged construction of all mechanical parts results in a switch requiring no maintenance, no adjustments and no problems.  All switches are designed for wall or pole mounting, with all mounting hardware included.  Oversized enclosures are standard to provide ample wiring space.  All switches feature lugs for aluminum or copper conductors.
